So I got my mystery box and grab bags today... I got a Sentinel V4 in GB  and an Aeon LE V4  in CG as my Grab Bags and A Dominix LE V4 with windows and and a AV switch  with a non-functioning recharge port in CG.  I wish I wuld have gotten another color.  Also the latching swithces feel more substantial then the av's whats up with that? I'm mainly dissapointed about the inner build quality  of the sabers and that nothing feels secure in any of the hilts  EVERYTHING jingles.  Is this just normal?  Did i have  too high of expectations for my sabers?

Hi.  You will see that your post has been modified because on the US Forum other saber companies are called " one of the other guys " and we do not compare what they offer to US.  It's in the Forum Rules.  Smiley

You received 3 full sized sabers instead of Initiate size.  You don't like the av switches ?!  If you put a blade plug or the blade in securely that should help or solve the rattling problem.  Also a Velcro wrap around the battery pack... likely came with one in each saber.

Did you have " too high expectations for my sabers "... only you can answer that since you chose to take a gamble with the surprise element of both the grab bags and MB.  I know from personal experience that the temptation is hard to resist.  I'm still trying to get a red blade without ordering specifically.

Use them for awhile and don't compare peas to carrots as they ultimately are not the same... but still enjoyable.  Smiley

Did you buy these without any research on them? The LEDs are held in place by the blade, so with a blade or blade plug in the saber the LED doesn't move. And with all stunt sabers the battery pack is loose. This is pretty much a known thing.

Have seen people play about using a bunch of different materials to wrap around the battery pack to help with that.

Not trying to sound snippy, but your post sounds to me like you're more upset at what you got than the 'issues'
That, and what you're calling a 'latching' switch vs the AV switch is likely a 'guarded' switch.

I'm just going by the text, but I'm thinking you may have gone in thinking you'd get something spectacular and weren't ready for the real possibilities

I'm happy with the hilts, I don't love the sentinel but  that's a grab bag for you, Your right its a momentary switch  as i said these are my first US sabers so I'm not as versed in the different  types of switches. Is it normal that I feel like the latching switch is more for lack of a better word solid then the momentary?  I guess i'm just really put off by the jingling even with a blade.

If the jingling is indeed coming from the pommel end then there are a few easy ways to fix it (all low tech.) You can cut up an old t-shirt and stick a little in the end so that there is no room for the battery pack to move. A piece of foam would work too, like a small circular piece of memory foam or from a mattress pad.

What's up with the recharge ports in MB's that aren't needed?

Here's some suggestions for stopping battery pack movement and decreasing sound without totally blocking the air flow and heat release.  Unfortunately my camera died this morning so this pic will have to do.

I do not suggest placing any object close to your battery pack that is easily flammable and could get caught up in the batteries and wiring.

The foam marshmallow can be purchased at Michaels Crafts.  Use finger tip squishy self sticking protectors on the bottom of the battery pack to soften the impact on a solid stunt pommel.  Usually x2 stacked is sufficient.  Don't create too much pressure on the wires by having the pack pushed up too high in the hilt.

I have two mystery bag sabers. I've been happy with both and have not noticed any rattling on my stunt sabers. Yes, everyone hopes that they're the lucky ones and gets the hilt with the AV switch and sound board, but chances are highly unlikely you'll get it. I'm sure if everyone posted their unboxing videos on the internet that got stunt sabers would far outweigh those who got sabers with sound and AV switch. I would have loved to receive something other than 2 red stunt sabers in a row, but I knew it was a chance I was taking. Have fun with what you got and do some modifications like I plan on doing Smiley

From another members email reply from US the hilts came pre drilled for the port so instead if leaving a hole in the saber they add the recharge port.

Both the guarded and AV switches on stunt are latching switches. They just look different.

The plus to an AV switch is that they are metal compared to the guarded and harder to break.
