Tried to slap on the new tunic and obi today and get it squared away with some strategic velcro.

Good  lord almighty! How did these folks get themselves dressed in the morning?

I decided to try out all my known parts so far and it took the better part of an hour or more to get it right without even addressing the shoulder/arm armor. I managed to get a pic on my craptop (will share when I get time) before running out of time today…and this was just the upper body!!!

Overall the fit for the tunic from Far far away outfitters was ok (slightly snug in the shoulders) and material could have been better…microfiber?

The obi took me a minute to realize it needed to be wrapped around me a time or two but looked decent once employed.

Together with the (SirLiftaLot) cardigan/tabbard it looks nice with variations in black tones

visuals soon

Glad to have you back! I think the real reason Sith Lords have servants and acolytes was to get them dressed in the mornings! Looking forward to seeing it all come together.

yeah, it can be tricky.  Men's garb is usually easier to wear than jedi stuff. I'm used to having to help cinch up a corset.

I've heard for cosplay photos, bring a friend to help you get dressed and adjust everything.  Those pesky tabbards get crooked when you try to pin them down with the obi.

Look at that, it all came together very well.

I'd like to see this with your arms out of the way and belt and greebles in place (all the hard to put on bits). What I'd hope to see is how it contrasts/adds details to the look.

So far the red and black look good, should pop well in a better photo (grainy).

But I definitely have an idea of how all the pieces look and should look together.  These were good choices.

Looks like I have a small surplus that I can spend. I'm thinking one of 3 items is possible

1) sith belt
2) cosplay boots
3) cape

What do y'all think? I'm leaning towards boots

I'm told my more-than-i've-ever-paid-for-footwear custom boots arrive today. As we'd both talked elsethread, mens boots can be pricey and hard to source. The rest is probably cheaper/easier to find and possibly no needed for an early run of the costume, whereas sneakers won't cut it.

So, boots.  Get them.

I did a little "side project" with some junk around the old Lars Homstead and made a Comm Badge for a future project.

Waddya think?

I splurged on a 3D printed Blade Plug from Sedsti Skyfaller on Shapeways (Moraband) so I am waiting for my next payout to my slush-fund. When I am all paid-up then I am going to purchase these:

I'll have to scuff them up a bit but they'll look snazzy me-thinks!?

both the comm badge and the boots look very nice (haven't seen the plug). I like the circuit board bit.

I'd wait to scuff the boots up until:
see how they look as is with costume
try walking a bit through dusty dirt area (or sprinkle some on)

Might find a bit of natural dust takes the shine off while leaving your options open later costume choices. Like what if you have to attend the Sith Ball and need to shine up a bit Smiley
