One might have thought they'd have gone smaller when they came out with Diamond. There are boards out there that are cheaper than emerald/Obs that are smaller than a SD card that can do full RGB mixing and multi fonts on a single 18650 battery. For how limited Obs and Emerald are in some ways, I'm shocked every time I see how huge the electronics are. Being so "duel" focused, I'd have thought US would have considered making something that could fit in say a TCSS v6 type chassis. At least switch to twin 18500 sticks over the 14500s if they insist on 7.4v.

There is an idea!!
I figure this is something could accomplish two things: 1) If you can't afford a a saber outright, you could make installments, and then ship it when you're paid up. 2) It might also allow for less immediate financial burden for items that are being restocked. Like, EH angled boxes. Sort of a trade off of US doesn't have what I want right now, so I don't pay the full price right now. (But you will eventually pay full price.) They might even be cool enough to allow layaway on sale items, so you can take advantage of sales despite not having the funds immediately. But I wouldn't expect them to allow it to be applicable for Raffles. |

Thinner tube wall would be what would achieve what you are asking, and that reduces strength and durability, and fairly quickly with aluminum. |
