Myself, I want to see how many parts The Empress breaks down into to see what I can use different coloration on. I saw how they have multiple piece breakdown in their 3d blender, but until I have it in hand, I don't want to guess. Also, are those windows and they are going to be standard?

One thing I'd like to see from anyone is more variety in switch types. By that I mean more options than just a circle button, thought I know that's the standard. I'd like to see sabers with different size buttons, sliding switches, different shapes, etc.

A prototype lightsaber.
The idea is, is that this is like the very first lightsaber built that had an internal battery. But the whole thing looks like it was wielded together instead of fused together with the Force, so there are soldering spots where it may have been burnt a little during the wielding process. The chamber that contains the Kyber Crystal has a large crack in it that lets you see the Crystal inside and the Crystal itself looks pitted, as if it has been damaged at some point but not enough to keep it from functioning. And the whole thing has a weathered and aged looked to it, as if it has been sitting in a cave or crypt somewhere, but has been exposed to the elements wherever it has been.
When activated, the blade sounds like Kylo Ren's saber. Very crackly and sparky, as if it might go out at anytime just due to the age of it and everything.
And while the blade could be any color, a Blue blade would be the best for it.
Just a crazy idea I had. Don't know if it would be any good.

I’m waiting until I can see pictures... the renders (renderings?) look really good, but a picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes, and these computer-generated approximations aren’t enough for me to fully appreciate the beauty that I know is lurking. |

When I get mine, if it parts out like the 3d render shows, I want to wash a couple of the removable parts to bring them down to base metal. Maybe "distress" them instead. Depends on how much effort at the time of delivery I feel like using.

Well......Kath wants one in black, BUT.....she found out that burning black anodize results in a copper finish.  So she wants one to literally burn. Pics to come if/when. |
