So it would be cool if the soundboard could change the pitch and intensity of the hum based on how hard/fast the saber is moved, which would somewhat eliminate the need for a bunch of separate swing sounds. Maybe just pitch it a bit when a slight movement was detected, then default back to the separate swing sounds when a more aggressive swing was detected. It would make the sabers seem a bit more realistic.
On another note, they should probably vibrate slightly too, unless that would cause problems with too much stuff being crammed into a hilt or compromise the integrity of the blade.
Some other guys' boards can accommodate small rumble motors. And change pitches depending on the orientation of the saber AND have chaining swings for if you are spinning the saber (think Grievous). Great features I'd love to see from US. |

Yes run on swing sounds can be programmed with Diamond gestures Creepy. I was just thinking about that too. The only problem with using gestures in this case that I can see is that they have to be specific, and a saber can be moved in any number of ways. Even so, that workaround is pretty neat. |

After walking around Salt Lake Comic Con over the weekend, and seeing a few saberstaffs, my suggestion would be for 28" blades to be available.
For a staff, 32" can be more than a bit long, yet the 24" can seem too short and toy-like

If you check the "Blades" section of the website theres a selction called "Custom Size Ultraedge Midgrade [No Blade Film]" that allows you to pick any size from 4" to 48" and everything in between! Although I'm not quite sure what "No Blade Film" means in regards to that specific blade. Anyone care to elaborate? |

Blade film makes the light travel through the entire blade, giving it a more even blade.
Yes. Blade film is the rolled cellophane that allows the light to travel the length of the blade so that it doesn't look like just a flashlight lit tube. If you get a blade minus blade film, I believe you can buy sheets of it at retail craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael's. But whether or not they will have the requisite dimensions, I don't know. |

Picture the prequel swing-a-thons where they spun and flourished and instead of one swing sound there were several. You can program that same thing in Diamond so it sounds more movie-like and less like back to back sound fonts. |
