Suggestion Box/Wishlist: what do we want from Ultrasabers?

One of the things I have always liked about Yoda's saber is the blade guard. It is almost square rather than round like Anakin's.

Nope. If you study it carefully, you can see that the shroud in distinctly the Yoda emitter shroud.

Speaking of Prophs and other sabers with emitter shrouds, I wish US would allow us to choose what side of the saber to put switches. I prefer to have my shrouds in line on the switch side....but I have yet to get such a thing.

So I was perusing AV switches from around the interwebs and came across these red ones. I threw it into my currently uninstalled Renegade leftovers (makes a nice staff), looks rad. US get on this. Offer the Consular and others with a red AV

This may run counter to current trends, but maybe a basic sound option? While I do plan on getting a Saber with sound soon, I don't need a ton of effects. Same for colors.

Obs Lite V2 that they can flash with any of the standard Obsidian sound fonts would be nice though

As far as colors go, could you not edit the program to make any combo you want? Forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn or out of ignorance, but that is how I thought the higher end light control worked.

So huge fan of the staff, so I would love to see these

1. a way of customizing the coupler so that they sabers line up, but not spin freely. I don't know what would have to go into this, and I'm sure that UltraSabers would have done so already if they had an idea. But still, a better way of lining up the sabers without having them spinning freely via the quick release would be a great addition, so maybe a quick release with a way of locking the orientation.
2. to go along with the first, more staff options in the saber selection itself. It might give some sales appeal to actually see them together, rather than trying to imagine it, and giving it a cool name aside from "Prophecy staff" etc.

Just my two cents, one cent per suggestion

not a bad idea, might be possible with a lock button that slides into the 2 adjoining pieces. the downfall would be removing one hilt to unlock from the inside the coupler.

Some people have used (shudder) o-rings to lock the quick release coupler from spinning.

I agree with your second one. It would be nice to be able to get the slightly cheaper staff price on any twin sabers you wanted to buy as well as see what they look like put together.

They do have an adjustable coupler but it's not a quick release if you want that, a design idea might be to add some holes and 1 or 2 pins so you can adjust it with a small limit.

The main problem with this however would be during dueling if you want to connect/disconnect while battling someone else, you'd have to practice a lot to get it to line up in the few seconds you have.

This is quite doable, but not without considerable cost to machine. You would need exact thread alignment (to account for the lack of adjustability) for the coupler halves to align properly on the hilts, and then mill in a key slot in the female side, and attach a key to the male side. Viola, fixed position quick release coupler. That'll be $200.

That's not likely since people are big into alignment. Staffing hilts that are not radially symmetric would only offer an unending queue of complaints from patrons that demand perfection. If US leaves that kind of tinkering to the customer, the complaints are far fewer.
