Something i haven't seen looking through the sabers is one that is Black and Gold anodized. Not sure if its because they can't do both on one Sabre due to how it is made, but i would love to see a Black and Gold Shock or V5 saber of each different variety (mainly black with gold highlights that is but other way round for those who are into it) Other thing i would love to see is a primarily Gold saber, something really regal with a few black and silver accents, its what i imagine some of the more snobby Jedi Lords of the New Sith Wars might've had - could be done with existing styles just swap silver for gold. thanks Rapine & Taegin! My comment was about sabers globally…and I really do like US product a lot and the CS is fab! I get the loyal following…Just hate that I've fallen for such an expensive addict…err…hobby.
To add to this briefly, as someone from Australia - $300 US = $430 here before shipping with is $100 AU - with exchange rate and purchasing power factored it is a very expensive purchase for people here and it can be hard seeing the free give away levels of $450, $600 or whatever and knowing you can't reach them as you have to keep it as low as possible (seeing free shipping for USA always stings too...without flash sales to offset the cost I wouldn't have any sabers!) so I get where you're coming from... Maybe next time they do a free shipping to US they can show a little love for foreign customers with a free spinner/shirt or blade plug or something instead not much just a little nod - I know we Aussies would appreciate it. Having said that i totally love what i do get even without the bonuses and appreciate they are a business at the end of the day and for what you get its pretty darn good - as it is i can't fathom how they manage with so any giveaways! |

Shipping is killer for me. For a single saber it is about $25 (US) with the cheapest shipping available. The more things you add, the more it goes up. My current cart is at about $56 for shipping. Technically I'm also in the US, but because it isn't the "contiguous" United States, I don't get the free shipping deals either. So I get this as well. |

The hilt would have to be double anodized to make it work, first in the gold, then in the black.
That done, then you'd have to pray for no goofs in either anodized coat. While they would be beautiful, I don't think we'll see them

I think it would even be more complex then that. I'm not sure how anodizing works but they would have to cover the gold while they did the black. Instead of anodize they could do Cerokoting and so as many colors on a hilt that they wanted. This is the costing you see in custom guns that are different colors. I realize that it's not very practical. I just think it would be a great look, but oh well. I could use a black and silver hilt and just add the gold myself. |
